While researching on this topi I've found many different websites to be helpful in learning about the influences of music in the turn of the centuries.
Biorgaphy.com , was very helpful in the way that it let me read about a brief over view of Duke Ellington while also providing a video that is basically a mini-documentary on whoever it is that you are looking up. AllAboutJazz.com was somewhat helpful in researching on jazz in the turn of the century, Although the domain names suggest its all about jazz, there's not a whole lot there content wise for biographies. They had a very brief biography of Louis Armstrong. Nevertheless it was a good source of information.
NYTime.com had a good source of information on all of my research topics. I was able to search for specifically an article blog or anything I really needed to for my research, and I like that feature. Being able to sort through the search results was helpful.

MTV.com was also very helpful in researching on Pearl Jam and red Hot Chili Peppers. It gave a brief biography of the bands past and what they're doing today. Very informative. Although my browser didn't always cooperate with the pop up biographies it was still helpful information.
RollingStone.com was very cooperative in finding information on the bands leading up to the turn of the 21st century. They have a small band biography section that keys you in on the basics of the bands history but they don't go down the rabbit hole teachingyou about it. You could navigate pretty simplistically.
USMagazine.com was a website I found to be useful due to the extensive articles on John Mayer, due to his relationship mishaps. Although I didn't rely heavily on this website for my main research it was helpful in finding specific information, after learning how to use their search bar.

ClassicRockMagazine.com had some interesting articles on the bands, some weren't as helpful as they could've been but they ere interesting none the less. More of a press release kind of magazine and less information that is applicable to the real world, but that happens in magazines often.
When it came time for learning about Louis Armstrong, PBS.com helped out a lot. They have a pretty in depth look at what Louis Armstrong did and what they. Very informative, although the font and navigation was a little faulty sometimes.
Esquire.com was a good source for finding the articles John Mayer had written for the magazine in his earlier years of his career. Although finding specific articles was tough because of their tedious site search bar was very helpful.
ThePeopleHistory.com was a very informative, yet brief website that allowed you to track music on a timeline and research on who was influential in which time period. As stated the information on the turn of the century periods weren't quite as full as I was hoping but the information they gave was informative enough.
